Updates on all fronts for Barcelona

Il Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, the sixth round of the season, will mark the introduction of the first greats updates by Ferrari. In fact, the Scuderia from Maranello, despite being the leader of both championships at the moment, seems to have something less than Red Bull, fresh from two victories in a row at Imola and Miami.
Al Montmelo, a track already used for the first winter test session, the Red will bring a new one rear wing from high load. Perfect choice for the characteristics of the Catalan circuit. Furthermore, the arrival of one is expected paint innovative not so much in color as in weight. This season, in fact, we have seen that every kilo that can be removed from the car makes a big difference in terms of performance.
Therefore, each team wants to reach the minimum limit of 798 kg. Precisely for this Ferrari has a new paint ready that could save approx 700 grams. This choice would lead to the elimination of the transparent which makes the red of the livery shiny. The total weight loss of the F1-75 in Spain should then come to approx three kilograms.
Filming day in Monza with Leclerc
Also, Charles Leclerc was the protagonist of a session of filming days turn to Monza this morning, the second of the year after the one in Barcelona last February. The choice of the Monza racetrack is functional to one of the main objectives at Ferrari: mend the gap with Red Bull in terms of full speed.
The effectiveness of the improvements will only be confirmed in Spain, given that Leclerc was only able to cover 100 km today and had to run on Pirelli demo tyres, different from those used on race weekends, as required by the FIA.
Finally, Monza had also been used as the venue for Ferrari filming days in 2019. Leclerc himself had been called to carry out a test session on the Brianza circuit on 8 August, in the middle of the summer break. The next two races saw the Monegasque score his first two Formula 1 successes, winning at Spa-Francorchamps and Monza. Who knows if history may repeat itself in the next few weeks…
