Ferrari, hoping to hit the jackpot at Montmelò
La Ferrari it is currently fourth in the constructors' championship. This already says a lot on the difficulties encountered for now by the Maranello team. The decision to bring an important package of updates to the Spanish GP is dictated from the team's choice to continue focusing on the SF-23 project, however, trying to get closer – even on a conceptual level – to the dominant Red Bull. “We will bring various updates, but they won't be the last” – announced the Ferrari team principal Vasseur, making it clear right away that the team believes strongly in the leap in quality which can happen thanks to the innovations introduced.

Updates
It's a Ferrari that it also changes a lot visually. Looking at the SF-23, attention is immediately drawn to the bellies: no longer digging but sloping, just Red Bull style. The goal of the Prancing Horse engineers is try to extract the full potential of their car on Sunday during the race, in which Ferrari has been missing practically since the beginning of the season. To underline, with the arrival of the new bellies, the abandonment of the inwash solution, the basic feature of the F1-75, and the choice instead of focusing on the effect downwash.
No rear suspension
Barcelona calls and Ferrari, at least in terms of updates, responds. However, there is another little novelty, unexpected if desired: in fact, the long-awaited rear suspension will not be present on the SF-23 which, according to reports Motorsport.com, it seems to have been rejected by Charles Leclerc during the decision making process. So will Montmelò be the stage for Ferrari's redemption? All we have to do is wait for the first indications that will arrive this afternoon with FP1 scheduled at 13.30pm.
