The rain that had accompanied the riders and teams throughout the weekend in Canada returned intermittently on the decisive day, the day of the race. This made everything much more difficult and unpredictable. Let's see the tops and flops at the Canadian GP Fanta F1.
The Tops of the Canadian GP
Max Verstappen: after a difficult period, after a difficult weekend Max Verstappen returns to victory. A victory in which the Dutchman had to put a lot. Because even this weekend Red Bull wasn't the best car. Max had to defend himself several times from Norris and Russell, building the race lap after lap. He returns to be the best of the weekend at Fanta F1.
Land Norris: silver medal for Lando Norris who took home several points but also the disappointment of not having been able to attack Max for the victory due to the unpredictability of the Safety. The McLaren was the best car on the track, and this is becoming a very important constant considering the different types of tracks the MCL38 hits.
Pierre Gasly: nothing to take away from Russell, Hamilton or Piastri, but we cannot fail to mention the points, double points scored by Alpine. At the end Pierre also manages to overtake his teammate for ninth position. Finally a positive result at Fanta F1 for the Frenchman. Overall he and Ocon gained 6 and 8 positions respectively. Really not bad.
The Flops of the Canadian GP
Charles Leclerc: After dream of Monaco Ferrari seems to have returned to a bad, very bad nightmare. The one in Canada was not the weekend that Ferrari would have expected to experience. La Rossa had arrived here with great ambitions, but the rain made the Ferrari SF-24 extremely hostile. Furthermore, the situation for Leclerc has worsened further on the number 16 car. A technical problem causes Leclerc to lose more than a second per lap. The Monegasque also took a gamble by mounting a hard tire during the Safety Car but the rain made everything more difficult. A race that therefore suddenly turned into a long, very long wait until he retired with less than 30 laps to go. Very bitter weekend also for the Fanta managers who had bet on the Monegasque.

Carlos Sainz: despite not having any problems, Sainz was unable to move up positions, remaining outside the points and finishing an anonymous race. A weekend to forget for the Red Team, which still has some obvious weaknesses. Weaknesses that seem to affect the Spaniard the most, as he is in difficulty on several occasions. In the last third of the race he ends up spinning and is forced to retire.
Sergio Perez: Even at Red Bull things aren't going very well, Perez, after a disappointing qualifying, ends his race by finishing on the wall. A retreat on the weekend of the renewal announcement is not exactly ideal.
