The Hungarian GP saw an absolute protagonist, McLaren. Let's see the tops and flops of the Hungarian GP at Fanta F1.
The championship has once again demonstrated that it is more open than ever Red Bull it hasn't won for three weekends in a row and for the first time McLaren had to manage two drivers eager to get to victory.
The top four forces in the championship – McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari – animated a Hungarian Grand Prix full of duels on the track also thanks to the different strategies. At McLaren, the rivalry between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris was one of the main themes of the weekend. The two drivers of the Woking team were able to take advantage of McLaren's competitiveness to take a historic one-two despite not sparing themselves an internal battle to decide who would cross the finish line first. At the same time, the battle for the podium featured Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc with the Dutchman furious for having paid for Hamilton's undercut.
The top of the Hungarian GP
Oscar Piastri: Oscar Piastri in Hungary took the first victory of his career after a difficult race at times. The superiority of the English team has in fact put the Papaya garage in crisis and it doesn't seem to have fully enjoyed the double due to the discussions over who should win between Norris and Piastri. Lando is ahead in the championship but Piastri deserved the victory especially considering the fact that he had gained the position over his teammate at the start, in a clean and nothing short of spectacular way. The team then complicated everything with the strategy, forcing Norris and Piastri into a humiliating team order, with Norris almost planted to let Piastri pass. There is certainly something that needs to be reviewed, because without a clear hierarchy, situations like this risk compromising the races. His sprint brings many points into the pockets of the Fantasy Managers.
Lewis Hamilton: a great show of resistance from Lewis Hamilton who after the victory at Silverstone brings home other important points by winning his 200th podium in Hungary after a very physical battle with Max Verstappen.
Sergio Perez: a beautiful comeback from Perez, perhaps stunned by the blow yesterday in qualifying and the threats from Horner and Marko. From P16 to P7, just two positions behind his teammate.

The Flops of the Hungarian GP
Max Verstappen: We haven't seen such a furious Max in a long time, too long. Having suffered the under cut by Hamilton risking losing the podium was enough to bring the Dutchman back to undiplomatic reactions. After complaining to every team radio and coming to a standstill, risking putting an end to his race and that of Hamilton, Max Verstappen also received a reprimand from the team who called him "a child" on worldwide television. Discussions that have a certain effect, considering that we are talking about a three-time world champion. It won't be easy to get rid of all this anger. Who knows, Toto Wolff cracked a smile when he heard these squabbles.
Carlos Sainz: an anonymous race by Carlos Sainz, away from the rest of the group. He loses positions compared to the starting grid and takes home few points for the Fantamanagers' coffers.
Pierre Gasly: another weekend to forget for Pierre Gasly, the only one to leave the scene without seeing the checkered flag in Hungary. A heavy -10 to Fanta F1.
