After a week's stop, Formula 1 arrives in America with the first meeting of the three scheduled on the calendar. The Miami Grand Prix, present on the calendar from 2022, has now reached its third edition but this year for the first time it will host a Sprint weekend. For this reason at Fanta F1 you will have to line up your lineup and make your choices before the Sprint Qualifying which will be held on Friday evening at 22pm. In this case too, a fiery weekend awaits us. Red Bull wants to continue its streak of victories in Miami, Ferrari is ready for redemption but will have to defend itself from McLaren who overtook them in the fight for the podium in China. There are also many technical innovations planned for the weekend in Florida. So let's see who to line up at Fanta F1 with advice for the sixth race weekend in Miami.
An anomalous week's break
Even with the engines off, you can't say that Formula 1 is boring. This week some important news arrived, especially regarding the drivers market, but not only. Haas – who will race at home this week, has announced that he will say goodbye to Nico Hulkenberg in 2024. The German has in fact closed an agreement with Sauber in anticipation of the arrival of Audi in 2026 and therefore in 2025 he will join the Stake F1 Sauber team. The name of the driver that Hulkenberg will replace, between Bottas and Zhou, is not yet known. Both could find themselves without a seat if Audi decides to take on an additional driver for 2026.
Another, much more sensational departure is linked to Red Bull which in 2025 will say goodbye to one of its pillars, namely Adrian Newey, the visionary designer who created revolutionary single-seaters. His destination is still uncertain but everyone now takes it for certain that he will arrive in Maranello, where he will find Lewis Hamilton in 2025. It is difficult to think that a similar scenario cannot change the dynamics and forces at play in the future. But first Ferrari will have to do everything possible to change the present for the better.
Tips for the weekend in Miami at Fanta F1
The Maranello team must necessarily start again from Miami, and to do so it has decided not to bring significant innovations to America. The setback in China led the team to still want to understand certain dynamics linked to the SF-24, to subsequently move with the evolutionary steps. The one who will bring some news is McLaren who found the podium again in China with Lando Norris. The Englishman overall had an excellent weekend in China, and placed himself in second place among the drivers with the most points in Fanta F1, after Max Verstappen. In Miami Ferrari hopes to once again find a track in the ropes of the SF-24, and above all higher temperatures and a better set-up. In 2022 the Red team achieved a double podium here, with Sainz and Leclerc. The goal is to repeat but to do so we will need the perfect weekend.
Compared to the competition, the Red has not yet brought any updates. Red Bull brought a package to Suzuka, and McLaren and Mercedes will do it in Miami, to get closer to Ferrari and have less effort both with temperatures and in finding the ideal operating window, in the case of Mercedes. The heat for these two teams could be a problem. The fight for the top 10 could once again find Haas as the main candidate for the rearmost positions in the points zone. But the American team will have to deal with Racing Bulls and Aston Martin, which can have its say especially in qualifying.
Fanta F1: top 5 with 100 credits for Miami
Considering the change in quotes and the price of each driver, let's see what could be the best combination of drivers at Fanta F1 with a budget of 100 credits. Clearly Verstappen remains the driver who brings the most points to Fanta F1, but to get him we would have to choose perhaps less performing drivers. In China the best choice with 100 credits would have been to opt for a mixed team with Norris and Leclerc as first strikers. In America the situation could be the same. In this case, however, we choose an all-Red pair, or rather Red-Blue considering Ferrari's livery and celebratory overalls for this weekend. We also choose to field Esteban Ocon, who despite Alpine's difficult start always enjoys a decent average in Fanta F1.
SAINZ – LECLERC – OCON – HULKENBERG – SARGEANT
