Il Japanese Grand Prix confirmed the superiority of Red Bull, back on the podium after the debacle in Australia. But also the excellent form of Ferrari, which arrived at Suzuka, a difficult track for the Ferrari, to understand the true state of the SF-24 and to direct its development. In Suzuka the race was played above all on the strategies and talent of the drivers in managing the tyres, factors that allowed some drivers to recover several positions, and others to lose some. Let's see at the end of the weekend in Suzuka all the drivers' scores at Fanta F1.
Red Bull and Ferrari find confirmations, Mercedes and McLaren with some problems
Max Verstappen has proven once again that he is the undisputed dominator of the season, taking his third consecutive victory at Suzuka and consolidating his position at the top of the championship. The Dutch driver expressed his satisfaction at returning to success after retiring in Australia, highlighting the strength and solidity of his team. Teammate Sergio Perez contributed to Red Bull's double with a solid and consistent performance.
Ferrari continued to prove that they are the main contender to Red Bull, with Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc taking third and fourth place respectively. Sainz showed impeccable leadership and effective strategy. Leclerc, however, impressed with a stint on high-level medium tyres, managing the comeback race with intelligence and aggression and demonstrating that he is a very talented and determined driver. A big question mark for Ferrari is qualifying. In fact, Leclerc suffered particularly badly on Saturday at Suzuka, and this affected his race.
At McLaren and Mercedes there is a bit of disappointment. Lando Norris, despite starting from third position, was unable to attack the podium. The team had to deal with a race strategy that did not pay off in full, influencing the British driver's final result. Norris commented on the difficulty in managing the pace to attack the podium, but still maximized the points available, demonstrating great maturity and determination. Mercedes is worse off. Both drivers had problems in the race. The person who suffered the most was Lewis Hamilton, who was in great difficulty with his tyres. Even at Fanta F1, the situation is critical for the British driver.
