Il Baku Grand Prix has provided exciting moments, with surprises and some disappointments that have also had an impact on Fanta F1. On a notoriously unpredictable circuit like the Azerbaijani one, we have witnessed unexpected results, memorable comebacks and difficulties for some of the main protagonists of the championship. Between on-track duels and courageous strategies, let's see how the odds on Fanta F1 change after the Baku GP.
Pilots who rise in value
Oscar piastri – from 34 to 35 credits
The young pilot of the McLaren He made the most of the difficulties of those ahead of him with a superlative performance that led him to victory. Thanks to good tyre management and a consistent race pace, Piastri proved to be rapidly improving and deserving of an increase in his rating. His performance in Baku strengthened his position within the team and highlighted his potential for the rest of the season. It didn’t take that long to see what he can do with a good car in his hands.
Charles Leclerc – from 36 to 37 credits
Despite starting on pole position, Leclerc failed to convert his front row start into a win, leaving Baku disappointed and defeated. However, the Monegasque can consider his weekend overall positive, marking a clear evolution of the Ferrari SF-24 that showed constant improvements. With Singapore on the horizon, another track that on paper is favorable to Ferrari, Leclerc could have yet another opportunity to consolidate his haul of two wins of the season.
Alexander albon – from 12 to 13 credits
Albon continues to amaze with his Williams. In Baku he took advantage of the difficulties of others to bring home an excellent placement in the points zone. His ability to defend the position combined with an effective strategy pushed Williams towards one of its best performances of the season. His trend is positive, let's hope he can maintain high standards also at Fanta F1.
Pilots who drop in value
Max Verstappen – from 43 to 42 credits
Despite still leading the championship, the Baku weekend was far from ideal for Verstappen. Problems with the car's setup and a less than perfect management of qualifying penalized him. The final result does not reflect his true potential but Red Bull has too many problems and hoping that Max will solve them all is out of the question.
Sergio Perez – from 25 to 24 credits
Perez had a golden opportunity in Baku but it ended with an avoidable accident that compromised his final result. The Mexican has lost precious points and his rating is suffering, reflecting the uncertainties in his performances.
Yuki tsunoda – from 15 to 14 credits
Baku has not been kind to Tsunoda, who was involved in an accident in the early stages of the race. This damaged his car and forced him to retire, putting an end to a weekend that was promising. Yuki has already missed the checkered flag for two GPs due to a contact at the start. His stock price has dropped accordingly.
