The weekend into Belgium it was the last appointment on the calendar before the summer break. Formula 1 will return to the track in three weeks, in Holland. So let's take advantage of the break to evaluate this first part of the drivers' season at Fanta F1, observing the scores and the various movements in the standings compared to the first five matches of the championship!
The last 10
Compared to standings the original Fanta F1 ranking in positions from 11th to 20th presents some rather substantial differences. In particular, the low position of the duo stands out Alpine, one of the worst on the grid. After 10 races Pierre Gasly's tally at Fanta F1 corresponds to 23 points, which earned him P14. His teammate did significantly worse. His good result at Spa did not compensate for the many DNFs. Esteban Ocon closes this first part of the season in P17, with -0.5 points. Not that the start of the championship had gone any better. After the first 5 races Esteban's score was -14,5 points.

Among the best in the second part of the Fanta F1 ranking we find: Yuki Tsunoda, the first of the excluded, in P11 with a total of 39,5 points, followed by Alexander Albon in P12 with only 2 points less, and Oscar piastri who with his latest exploits, in particular at Silverstone and in Hungary, has risen to 28 points in P13. After the first 5 races the Australian had 0 points.
The last to have finished with a positive score are Guanyu Zhou, in P15 with 18 points, and Nico Hulkenberg in P16 with 8 points.
There are 4 drivers who still have a negative score after 10 races. In addition to Esteban Ocon who we have already reported we find: Kevin Magnussen and Daniel Ricciardo tied with -4 points. Ricciardo was able to do very little in the first part of the season having only taken over from De Vries in Hungary. In last place we find Logan Sargeant with -8 points.
The top 10 at Fanta F1
But let's now talk about the other half of the standings at Fanta F1. The top 10 is opened by Lance Stroll in P10 with a score of 54 points. In P9 we find Valtteri Bottas instead. The Finnish driver occupies fifteenth position in the original ranking but the music is very different at Fanta F1. In total Bottas has 63,5 points.
He slips into P8 with 104,5 points Carlos Sainz. The latest results have heavily influenced the scores at Fanta F1. After the first 5 races, the Spanish driver was in fifth position, 3 positions above his current position. Sainz was overtaken by Norris, in P7 with 111,5 points but also by Leclerc moved up to P6, with 122 points after a disastrous start to the season, and by George Russell. The young English driver made up ground by placing himself in P5, with 134 points. A positive score but far from what his teammate holds. Lewis Hamilton in fact has a nice margin over Russell as he occupies P4 in the Fanta F1 standings with 204 points.
We now come to the top 3. Despite Aston Martin's drop in performance, the initial podiums ensured Fernando P3 with a score of 215,5. Sergio Perez follows further behind, with a score of 272,5. In first place, Max Verstappen solo. The Dutchman broke all sorts of records and at Fanta F1 he surpassed the 400 point threshold, collecting 438 points.
