After Melbourne, Formula 1 lands in China.
An event made even more exciting by the Sprint weekend, the first of this season.
Before we start warming up our engines, let's see what changes to Fanta F1 with the Sprint format.
At the beginning of the season the Formula 1 has made official the Sprint calendar for this season, with 6 stages that will welcome the mini-race format. These stages are China, Miami, Belgium, Austin, Brazil (which for the fifth consecutive year will host a Sprint weekend) and Qatar.
How is the Sprint weekend structured?
For those who don't remember, the sprint weekend consists of a single free practice session, followed by sprint qualifying on Friday. On Saturday, the drivers will take to the track for the sprint race and a few hours later it will be time for qualifying for Sunday's race. Here are the weekend schedules:
Friday 21 March
• 04:30 Free Practice 1
• 08:30 Sprint Qualifying
Saturday March 22
• 04:00 Sprint Race
• 08:00 Qualifying
Sunday March 23
• 08:00 Race

What changes at Fanta F1?
But what happens to Fanta F1 with the Sprint format?
The changes will not have a significant impact on Fanta F1. With the Sprint Shoout on Friday, in fact, the obligation to deploy the formation by the start of the Friday session remains, even if it's Sprint qualifying. It will therefore be necessary to look for as many clues as possible in the only free practice session of the weekend to build your team while waiting for the Sprint Shootout.
After a very difficult weekend and below expectations, Ferrari will try to recover. McLaren, on the other hand, will arrive in China with the awareness of being the team to beat, at least in this first part of the season. With many points up for grabs even in the midfield, a very interesting weekend is expected. It will also be interesting for what concerns Fantasy F1: after a first race characterized by rain and chaos, the true values of the 2025 cars will be seen on the track.
