The exchange of seats between Daniel Ricciardo and Nyck De Vries was just the appetizer of a weekend already full of twists and turns in Hungary, thanks to a weather rather uncertain on this first day of free practice. All the teams are close but this is also due to the conditions that prevented everyone from carrying out the planned work, especially on the race pace. Saturday will be fundamental especially for those teams that have tested only one compound. We see, in an experimental weekend, given the debut of the new ones qualifications with mandatory and reduced compounds, who to field at Fanta F1.
Mixed values, and adverse weather
The first session ended with just 13 times scored. The best went to George Russell, followed by Piastri and Stroll. A trio that says a lot about the particularity of this day. As well as the exclusion of Verstappen from the timetable due to accidents and persistent rain. However, Sergio Perez had the worst approach to the Hungarian weather. The Mexican did not find a good feeling with the track and put the RB19 against the wall after just 5 minutes from the start of the FP1. Perhaps a mistake resulting from media pressure given Ricciardo's closeness to the Red Bull family? In Ferrari, however, after the latest rumors about a hypothetical Leclerc-Norris pairing, we have returned to talking about the track and the SF-23. Leclerc ended the day with the fastest time in the second free practice session. We remind you that there are several teams that have brought updates to the Hungaroring. Among these, in addition to Ferrari, there is also the Red Bull, already clearly superior to the others but always ready to improve.
With data still uncertain, and the weather improving for the rest of the weekend, let's see the choices we can make at Fanta F1.

Who to deploy at Fanta F1
The most tempting name to field is certainly that of the undisputed protagonist of the weekend given his return to the grid. We are obviously talking about Daniel Ricciardo determined to want to prove that he deserves a seat in F1, maybe why not, alongside his former teammate Max Verstappen who declared he was happy at the idea of Daniel's return. Meanwhile we could already put them in the same team, but at Fanta F1.
One bet is McLaren, fresh from excellent weekends in Austria and Silverstone but still indecipherable, especially with a track that has evolved as much as this one. Perhaps FP3 will give us a clearer picture on this point.
Here is the team we would like to recommend, with a base of 100 Masi.
Verstappen – Norris – Gasly – Albon – Ricciardo
