With the company Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula 1 takes its leave. The 2023 season will be remembered as one of Red Bull dominance and Max Verstappen which left only crumbs to the opponents. But also as a season that was decidedly more competitive at the back, and we also saw this at Fanta F1, especially in the last race weekends. Even at Fanta F1 it's time to say goodbye, but we can't completely archive the season without first listing the last top 5, that of the Abu Dhabi GP.
The top 5 overall in Abu Dhabi
The season finale in Abu Dhabi didn't offer many memorable twists or comebacks. The scores were lower than the last round in Las Vegas. The overall top 5 at Fanta F1 in Abu Dhabi is the same as the finishing order at the finish line. In the lead with 33 points, a number that evokes the past, we find Max Verstappen. In second place Charles Leclerc, with 22 points. We had decided to focus on him at the beginning of the weekend and we didn't regret it. Second place was the highest result Charles could pursue. In third position with 21 points, perhaps a little surprisingly we find George Russell who with his podium managed to defend Mercedes' second position in the builders. The negative surprises are Perez and Norris. We expected more from both of them, but given the lack of drivers with bonuses this weekend they still managed to get into the top 5.
- VERSTAPPEN +33 points
- LECLERC +22 points
- GEORGE RUSSELL +21 points
- PEREZ +16 points
- NORRIS +15 points
Top 5 with a budget of 100 credits
The team above includes the best 5 riders of the weekend but it would have cost you an arm and a leg. Let's see what we could have brought home with a maximum of 100 credits.
- LECLERC + 22 points
- RUSSELL +21 points
- TSUNODA +13 points
- PLATES +7.5 points
- MAGNUSSEN +6.5 points

This team with a modest value of 93 credits would have allowed you to bring home 70 points while maximizing your budget. However, there is a combination that would have allowed you to collect more points with Verstappen as captain.
- VERSTAPPEN + 33
- RUSSELL +21
- MAGNUSSEN +6,5
- ZHOU +4
- SARGEANT +2
Overall, this team worth 99 credits has fewer points than the first, but with Max as captain, and therefore with the Dutchman's score doubled it would rise to 99,5 points against the 92 of the first with Leclerc as captain.
