Il Dutch Grand Prix was one of the most unpredictable and crazy of this season. The rain that arrived at the beginning and end of the race overturned the standings several times, also generating confusion in the pits. There were several contacts and incidents, including the one between Norris and Russell at the restart from the red flag for the last 8 laps. This very episode generated a bit of confusion at Fanta F1, as the Englishman returned to the pits due to a puncture but managed to finish the Grand Prix shortly afterwards.
What happened to Fanta F1
Not taking into account the classification FIA, which allows drivers who have run more than 90% of the race to qualify even without having crossed the finish line YawClub therefore sought confirmation on Russell's non-retirement. Several newspapers had initially talked about a withdrawal and this created confusion, and a calculation false at Fanta F1. Having noted that Russell reached the finish line, YawClub then started the procedure to recalculate the scores based on this.
Up to that point George's race had been rather troubled and he ended up losing the advantage obtained in qualifying, starting from third place. The English driver finished the race in a disappointing seventeenth position. Taking this result into consideration both the predictions change, with 3 retirements instead of 4, and the scores of Magnussen and Russell also change who, having not retired, obtained the bonus he is entitled to, that of the last classified. A small consolation given the premises.
