Dear Fantamanagers, the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season is now very close, and that means only one thing: it's time to dedicate ourselves to Fanta F1, now in its fourth season!
A competition that keeps fans of this sport increasingly glued and which is giving life to an exceptional community, which makes its love for Formula 1 its main flagship.
Which app to download to play Fanta F1?
For this year we have thought big and prepared several surprises, which you can already test on the app YawClub. For those who haven't downloaded it yet the app is available on all stores, for iOS e Android.
If you already have the app, just update it to be able to log in and start creating your teams and your Club. As we anticipated, this year there will be several new features that we will see one by one.
But not before reviewing some general rules!
What is Fanta F1 and how does it work?
For those who do not know what we are talking about, YawClub's Fanta F1 is a fantasy game about Formula 1.
I Club they can be public or private, and to create them or to enter a Club already existing, just download and do everything on the YawClub app. You can also enter the Club of the Community, the club created by our team, which offers fantastic prizes every week.
We will return to the topic of awards later, at the end of the article.
“Like Fantasy Football, but with Formula 1”
The objective of each Fantamanager is to score, for each race weekend, the greatest number of points thanks to the results of their driver fleet, expressed in terms of BONUS/MALUS.
In private leagues you can choose a classic quotation system or use an auction system. In this second case, it is not based on quotations but the admin, who will have to decide the number of credits for each team, will assign each Fantamanager their own fleet of drivers based on the auction held between the Club members.
Registration and creation of the team at Fanta F1
When registering you will be asked to create your team. And here we come to the first news. In addition to the name and logo for your team, you can choose the livery of your single-seater and the race number! Obviously, as happens with every team, you too will have to choose one sponsor who will guide and support you throughout the season, among those available on the app. Be careful, once chosen you will no longer be able to change it.
The game modes: Scudetto and Open!
One of the biggest innovations we have introduced at Fanta F1 is the presence of a second game mode that each admin can choose before starting the competition. At the time of creation of the Club private/public the admin will be able to choose the type of competition between Open e Scudetto. Furthermore, the admin will be able to choose which race to start the championship calculation from (whether at the first race or the third and so on).
Let's start by Scudetto mode: this mode involves a competition with a direct clash calendar and points ranking based on victories, draws and defeats. For this mode the maximum number of participants is 25. The admin who chooses this mode will have to decide the score gap to reach to win the match and the score of the YawTeam (the ghost team) if a user were to leave or the club was an odd number.
La Open Mode: it is the classic mode, in which there are no direct clashes but you play all against all every weekend with a ranking based on the total scores of each Fantasy manager.
The Admin Power, the feature you've been waiting for
A function that will give all the power to Club admins, who will be able to modify the scores, insert the lineups of the other Fantasy managers, calculate the days in total autonomy. As Alessandro Borghese would say: “You did it all.". Admins will find this new function in the section of the app dedicated to Club information, under the Admin heading.
How to deploy at Fanta F1
After starting your team and joining a Club you will be ready to compose your pilot fleet. For this operation you will need to go to the Home page and click on "Get on the track”. Each Fantasy manager will have 100 available Yaw (official name of the game's currency) to purchase 5 of the 20 available pilots.
Each driver will have a value in Yaw expressed by a listing list drawn up by the editorial staff of YawClub. Remember that Driver prices may change at the end of each race weekend. Therefore, be careful when selling a particular driver because the credits you will receive when you remove him from the team will not be the initial ones but those updated by the price change. If, for example, in the first race I decided to field Fernando Alonso at the hypothetical price of 30 Yaw, and in the fourth race his price changed to 31, in the event that I had to sell him at that price I would receive 31 Yaw back, and not 30.
Once the 5 pilots and the First Pilot of your team For each weekend you will also need to choose the forecasts that give you the right to bonuses.
Challenging Team Yawk
In conclusion before saving your training you can decide whether to challenge Team YAWK. This option is not mandatory but will allow you to win an additional 25 points. Every week the Yawks, our mascots will create their own "ghost" team or a team of 5 drivers established by an automatic system with a budget of 100 Yaw with a reference to the initial prices. The Yawk team will also choose the predictions and obtain a total score based on the bonus and malus values, of the classic regulation, even in private clubs.
The formation of the Yawk team is secret. Every week, for each Fantasy manager, only 1 of the 5 drivers of the "phantom" team will be visible. However, viewing all 5 drivers can be unlocked by activating the Fantamanager Pro subscription.
The aim of each Fantamanager is to guess the score that the Yawk team will score at the end of the weekend, choosing between different scoring options. The correct prediction gives a bonus of 25 points, the incorrect prediction gives a penalty of -2 points. You can also choose not to make any predictions. This will not result in the loss or gain of points.
To correctly save your training you will need to have followed all the steps: lined up the five pilots, made the forecasts and chose the first pilot. Once done, clicking the verification check at the top right will show you a message that will confirm the saving of the training. Furthermore, in the home page the traffic light will change from red to green.
The prizes at Fanta F1
We now come to the prizes that are won by participating in the community Club and which are divided into "Weekly Prizes", which will see winners based on the ranking after each race weekend and "Final Prizes", which will be based on the end-of-season ranking.
Weekly Prizes: for each race weekend they will be put in prize pool for the team that will be ranked first in the YawClub league.
Final Awards: the final prizes are reserved for the best Fantamanagers of the competition and include a season ticket for the entire Monza 2026 weekend for the first place winner; a ticket for the Sunday of the Monza GP 2026 and the jersey of your favorite team for the second place and a ticket for the Sunday of the Monza GP 2026 for the third place. Furthermore, prizes will also be awarded to all the Fantamanagers who ranked from P4 to P50.
But be careful! There could be many other surprise prizes!
