Théophile Näel is the first driver announced for Van Amersfoort Racing’s 2025 line-up. The young French talent will therefore make his debut next year in F3, after having already raced for the team in the post-season tests.
Born in 2007, Näel will make his single-seater debut in 2022 after having won many karting titles in France. After a year of adaptation, in 2023 he won the title in the Spanish F4 thanks to 8 victories and 14 podiums. This year he raced in two Formula Regional categories, taking a victory in both and finishing the championships respectively ineleventh and ninth place.

Van Amersfoort Racing commented on the arrival of the young Frenchman: “We are delighted to welcome Théophile to our Formula 3 team for 2025! He has already demonstrated exceptional potential and a professional approach during post-season test days with us. Entering Formula 3 is a major challenge, but we believe in his ability to adapt and thrive. We look forward to helping him grow and achieve success next season.”
Näel follows closely behind: “I am very happy to join Van Amersfoort Racing for the 3 F2025 season. This new adventure increases my ambition. I am looking forward to this challenge with the new F3 car. It is an honour to work alongside such a talented and historic team. Together, we will give our all on the track and aim for great results!”.
Having always shown a good spirit of adaptation, Théophile Näel would be considered the right profile for the Dutch team in 2025, but it will have to demonstrate right away that it is up to the F3 standards.
