The season of F3 it just ended with the title went to the Italian Fornaroli, tuttavia the 2025 driver market is already in full swing. Team Trident has signed the young and promising son of art Charlie Wurz.
For the Austrian born in 2005 it is a great step forward for his career despite this being his second year in the series. In fact, he moves from the Jenzer team, bottom of the constructors' standings in 2024, to a team that has won the drivers' championship in the last two editionsIn 2023 it was Gabriel Bortoleto who made the Italian team rejoice, while this year, as already mentioned, it was Leonardo Fornaroli's turn.
Charlie Wurz's Journey
In 2022 wins Formula 4 UAE championship, while the following year triumphs in Formula Regional Oceania. These performances convince the Swiss F3 team to bet on him. The debut year, however, was not the best., as the competitiveness of the car did not allow him to fight for the positions that matter. He concludes 2024 with the 22rd place in the general classification, with the only highlight being 5th place in the Feature Race in Australia.
F3 Trident: Positive outlook for 2025
Trident's Team Manager comments on the transfer as follows: “We are thrilled […]. Charlie is a smart and fast driver. In his second year of participation in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, we are sure that he will perform very well in our colours. We look forward to working with him during post-season testing".
The Austrian driver is on the same wavelength: “I'm really happy [...]. The team's resume couldn't be more prestigious. I have already developed a great understanding with the team [...]. I know I have a lot to learn from them. I'm already training for next year and I can't wait to get started."
If Charlie Wurz struggled to express his potential in his debut season, 2025 could be a turning point in his career.
