The first Sprint Race for Formula 3 in Monte-Carlo it took place under a warm sun at the end of May. To be crowned vincitore was Josep Maria Marti, together with him also theItalian Leonardo Fornaroli and the Swiss Gregorie Saucy.
Second victory of the season for Martì
On the Monaco circuit, pole position is important, but a clean start is necessary to be able to maintain the leadership of the race. There inverted grid allowed Peppe Marti, Campos Racing driver, to start from the first place in today's Sprint Race. The Spaniard made an excellent start, managing to stay ahead of the group even at the restart after the Safety Car.
On lap 13, finally Martì increases the distances by the Trident driver, Fornaroli, who in doing so can no longer use the DRS. The gap between Martì and the group increases with each lap, arriving 8 seconds before the group at the checkered flag. Josep Marìa Martì wins in Monte-Carlo, adding this win to that obtained in first race of season on the circuit of Sakhir.

Fornaroli: an Italian on the podium in Monaco
Yesterday there pole position was obtained from Gabriele Mini, but today another Italian star climbs the podium of the principality: Leonardo Fornaroli. His start was excellent, as was the entire race. In the first half of the Sprint Race he challenged Peppe Martì to set the fastest lap. After Martì gives him a gap of 1 second, the Trident driver seems to lose pace, perhaps also due to the graining on the front right.
However, Fornaroli cannot relax because they are behind him Saucy and Colapinto ready to fight to get on the second step of the podium. A little train that however sees the Argentine as more aggressive Franco Colapinto, who on his birthday, seek redemption after that victory denied in Melbourne. However, the race ends with Fornaroli second and Saucy third.
A few overtakings and 3 retirements
In the heat of departure, staying out of trouble isn't always easy. He knows something about it jonny Edgar, which is finished at the first corner of the first lap on the wall, causing a chain of accidents. Victims of this massacre six cars, but only those of Edgar, Boya and Faria were forced to retire.
Noteworthy is the surmounted by Franco Colapinto on Taylor Barnard at tobacconist curve, while the Alpine Driver Mini managed to overtake the Estonian Aron, after several rounds of studying the opponent. At the entrance to the Portier, Tommy Smith being raised by Goethe, fortunately no damage. Oliver Goethe receives for this action 10 second penalty, but his gap from Piotr Wisnicki allows him to remain in 17th position.

La Tomorrow's Feature Races constitutes a golden opportunity for many drivers, who will be able to take home the winner's trophy?
