Some teams have already announced the pilots that starting from 2025 season will occupy the squares of the grid. Now it's the turn of Rodin Motorsport, team that chose Louis Sharp as its own driver for the next Championship FIA F3.
From New Zealand to the UK to pursue his passion
Louis Sharp was born in Nottingham, UK, but New Zealand nationality. The interest in karting blossomed after attending a local circuit and at the age of six years, Sharp, does his part debut in the Kartsport NZ National Schools Championship. At his first attempt in the cadet class he finished 18th, but two years later manages to win the Championship and also the Sievwright Kartsport NZ National Sprint Championship. Louis then moved up to the Mini ROK category of the Kartsport NZ National Sprint Championship and in the 2019 wins the title of sample.

I results do not go unnoticed and Sharp is noticed by David Dicker, founder of Rodin Cars. The young driver Switch to single-seaters in 2020, making his debut in the Formula First Manfield Winter Series, finishing fifth with a haul of six podiums and one win. Louis also competes in the New Zealand Formula First Championship with Track Tec Racing, finishing fifth overall.
In 2021 Sharp drives in the Yokohama South Island Formula Ford Series, achieving five wins, ten podiums and two pole positions to finish fifth in the championship. Sharp arrives in Great Britain to take part in the Championship of British F4 of 2022 with Rodin. The New Zealander must however skip the first round as he is still 14 years old, with the minimum age requirement imposed for F4 at 15 years old. Louis finishes the season in fourth place, behind his two teammates Ugochukwu and Gray, with two wins and twelve podiums.
The Rodin-Louis Sharp partnership continues: the New Zealand driver arrives in F3
The Nottingham-born driver made his debut in the 2023 Formula 4 UAE Championship in the Trophy Round, winning both races. For the 2023, Sharp stays with Rodin to compete in British F4, Championship of which he will become Champion at the end of the season. For the 2024 is committed to driving in GB3 for the New Zealand team. With five victories and ten podiums, Louis becomes Champion also of this category.

Given the excellent results obtained with the Rodin team, the promotion Sharp's F3 seems to be a natural passage for a pilot's career. "I'm obviously very excited to take the next step towards Formula 3 – even more so because I'm back with Rodin Motorsport, which was a important factor in all my successes achieved to date”. Louis then continued saying: “ Even though I'm trying to realize what I achieved by winning back-to-back titles, I'm already starting to focus on what's ahead. I'll start preparations at the end of the month and I'm confident that both the team and I will be ready when the lights go out in Australia".
Rodin Motorsport Team Manager Sam Waple added: “It's great that Louis is joining us in F3. The new chassis will provide level playing field for rookies e Louis has already shown that he can adapt quickly to new cars and new tracks in his past seasons in British F4 and GB3.
