Hitech Pulse Eight confirmed that Gerrard Xie will be one of their drivers for the 2025 FIA Formula 3 season, becoming the first driver to sign with the team for next season.
Xie, eighteen, has had an impressive career in open-wheel racing, starting in karting and moving on to the Chinese Open-Wheel Championship F4 in 2022, where has dominated with 13 wins in 14 races. In the same year, he also won the Formula Renault Super Challenge and finished second at the prestigious Macau Grand Prix.
In 2023, Xie continued his growth in the championship GB3, gaining a victory. In 2024, returned for a second season with Hitech, finishing seventh in the overall standings thanks to three podiums, including one win. This success paved the way for him to Formula 3, where he will do his debut with Hitech in 2025.
Xie expressed great excitement for this new phase of his career:
“I am thrilled to be making the step up to FIA Formula 3 and to be doing so with Hitech. It has been a strong season for myself and the GB3 team, and I am proud of everything we have achieved together. I feel I am ready and hope to play a major role in ensuring Hitech’s challenge in F3 is as strong as it has been this year.”
