The team PREMA Racing announced Brando Badoer as a new pilot for the 2025 Formula 3 season, while the young Italian driver also joins the program McLaren Driver Development as a full-time member.
Badoer prepares to make the leap to F3 after a solid season in the European Championship (FRESH) in 2024, where it currently occupies fifth place in the ranking thanks to seven podiums.
Badoer has demonstrated his talent in Formula 4 racing in 2023, placing sixth in the Italian F4, Euro 4 and UAE Formula 4 championships with numerous podiums in each of these categories. Now, at just eighteen years old,will face the challenge of Formula 3 with PREMA Racing, a team with which he has already built a strong understanding, and as a new member of McLaren's development programme.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Badoer said:
“I am really happy to announce that I will be racing with PREMA in the 3 FIA Formula 2025 Championship. Working with this team is special, the chemistry is great and makes everything more enjoyable both on and off the track. We have had two positive seasons together and I look forward to continuing to build on this foundation.”
The team director PREMA, Rene Rosin, commented: “Brando is a very promising talent, and we are excited to give him the opportunity for 2025. We have followed him closely from F4 to FRECA, and he has made impressive steps forward. Formula 3 will be a challenge, but he has the right attitude to adapt quickly to the team and the series.”
With PREMA Racing and the support of the McLaren, Badoer is preparing for a crucial season that could mark a turning point in his career.
