The day began with an immediately crowded track: the drivers took advantage of the optimal conditions to accumulate kilometres and test new configurations. Sebastian Montoya with PREMA Racing set the first significant time, with a 1:38.239, maintaining a slight advantage over Jack Crawford. However, a tailspin of John Bennett (Van Amersfoort Racing) at turn 2 caused a first Red flag.
At the restart, Duerksen took the lead with a 1:37.500, but was soon overtaken by PREMA's Gabriele Minì. The duel was further enlivened by MP Motorsport drivers Richard Verschoor and Oliver Goethe, who temporarily monopolized the top positions.

The turning point of the session came when AIX Racing fitted Supersoft tyres to Duerksen's car: the Paraguayan set an unbeatable 1:35.583, leaving behind Max Esterson (Trident) and the duo PREMA formed by Mini e Montoya. Despite a second Red flag caused again by Bennett, Duerksen maintained the lead until the end of the morning session.

After the break, The afternoon started with a brilliant Arvid Lindblad who led a one-two for racing fields, establishing a 1:38.664. However, he was soon overtaken by Trident drivers Esterson and Meguetounif, who set the new benchmark with times of 1:36.705 e 1:36.710.

The teams then focused on race simulations and long stints, with little change to the standings. When it seemed all was decided, Duerksen showed off a 1:36.533 in the closing minutes, ending the day in the lead in the afternoon session as well.
An unchallenged dominion
With the fastest time in both sessions, Joshua Duerksen he confirmed his form and the competitiveness of the team AIX Racing. While his rivals showed flashes of speed, no one could keep up with the Paraguayan, who proved to be a driver to watch next season.
