Ritomo is ready for his second year in the category
With the final checkered flag waved at the finish line of the Yas Marina circuit, the Japanese driver officially said goodbye to the rookie title. Miyata made his debut in the category preparatory right at the beginning of this season with Rodin Motorsport. He ran alongside Zane Maloney – and Leonardo Fornaroli last weekend – managing to get to points zone on eight separate occasions.
Previous to the F2 adventure Miyata, the future ART GP driver, has conquered the Super Formula Championship victory and Super GT GT500The Toyota Gazoo Racing youngster has secured several victories in the Japanese series Formula 4 and Super Formula Lights, winning titles in both categories – in 2020 and 2017, respectively.
Miyata to be ART Grand Prix driver in next F2 season
Following the announcement of his move to ART GP, Miyata said: “I am enthusiastic to announce that I will compete in the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season with ART Grand Prix. I am deeply grateful to Morizo-san (Akio Toyoda) and everyone at TGR for giving me another opportunity to race in Formula 2.".
