La Formula 2 took to the track for the first race of the weekend in the Temple of Speed, seeing future Haas driver Oliver Bearman triumphs. The twists and turns were not limited to the action on the track, however. In fact, following the Monza GP F2 Sprint Race, several have been assigned penalty.
Contact Aron-Maloney: Stewards blame Estonian
With three laps to go, Sprint Race of F2 of the Monza GP, one of the drivers who is currently at the top of the standings, was involved in a contact. We are talking about the Estonian Paul Aron which, in struggle with Zane Maloney to enter the top 5, it goes to contact losing parts of the front wing.
The Hitech driver slows down sharply, it is therefore evident that the damage to the car is no longer limited to the wing. The pieces of the broken wing have caused the puncture e Aron is forced to return to the pits. The race thus ends early for driver number 17.
At the end of the Sprint, both Aron and Maloney were summoned by the Stewards to explain their version of the dynamics of the accident. The race stewards determined that the it's the fault of the contact occurred between curves 1 and 2 of the Estonian pilot. After the application of the 10-second penalty, Aron still remains in 20th position.

Penalty for O'Sullivan after the F2 Sprint Race of the Monza GP
In addition to Aron, it was penalized also the young man from the Academy Williams, Zak O'SullivanThe English driver received a penalty following the false start of the F2 Sprint Race of the Monza GP. According to the race stewards, O'Sullivan moved from his box after the fourth red light was illuminated and before the starting signal was given.
Having observed that the ART Gran Prix driver stopped after moving, the Stewards warned him assigned a penalty of 5 seconds. Although Zak did not finish the Sprint Race – due to contact with Goethe which led to both of them retiring – it was decided to do not convert his penalty of time in a relegation in the grid for the next race.
