Kush Maini instead, after a good qualification that saw him obtain the sixth time, stumbles again in a penalty.

Penalty for Maini after F2 qualifying in Abu Dhabi
At the end of the F2 qualifying at the Abu Dhabi circuit, Kush Maini received a penalty. The Indian would have committed impeding against of DAMS Lucas Oil pilot Jack Crawford. After a careful analysis at the end of the session and having listened to the versions of what happened from both drivers, the Stewards have made a decision.
Maini was found guilty of needlessly impeding Crawford at the entry to Turn 16. As a result of this, the number #9 received a three-place grid penalty – which he will have to serve in the next match he takes part in.
