Penalties handed out after F2 Sprint Race in Qatar
Paul Aron, the fastest driver in the Free Practice first and then in the Qualifying, found himself fighting for the fifth position with Gabriel Bortoleto, who once again gave the Estonian a hard time this weekend. Aron, in attempt to overtake Martins – in clear difficulty in the last six laps – went to the touch precisely with the Frenchman's single-seater.
At the end of the Sprint Race of F2 of the Qatar GP, the Stewards have awarded a penalty at number #17. After reviewing the videos and speaking with both drivers involved, the race stewards determined that the prevailing fault of the collision that occurred at turn 6 to be blamed on Paul Aron. As a result of this, Alpine's future third driver loses two positions in the final standings of the race, moving from P5 to P7.
Double penalty for Ritomo Miyata
Not only Aron, another driver was also penalized at the end of the Sprint race. A Miyata returns were two separate penalties awarded for causing two collisions. The Japanese was deemed guilty of having caused theaccident in turn 10 which involved the DAMS driver Dino Beganovich.

Miyata also came under the scrutiny of the commissioners for the contact made with Andrea Kimi Antonelli on the 21st lap of the race. The blame for this accident lies entirely with Rodin's driver, who is two penalty positions assigned that are going to add to the 4 which he received for contact with Beganovic. After such decisions, Miyata returns from the seventh scale position at the 13esima of the ranking.
