Jak Crawford, an American driver born in 2005, is a well-known name for those who have been following the preparatory categories for F1 for a few years. The two seasons in F3 and the two seasons in F2 make him one of the family. A family ready to welcome him again in 2025, the year in which he will continue to race with the Dams team, the announcement was made a few hours ago.
The Crawford Choice
An experienced driver, especially in such competitive categories, can make the difference, but it is not always the right choice, just look at the current standings where rookie Gabriel Bortoleto, 2023 champion of the F3 championship, leads the way. However, it is not a title that makes a good driver, Crawford has often shown he has what it takes, and it will be time to do the same in F2 where he is about to start his third season.
Jak has been part of the Red Bull family for 4 years. Since 2020, when he competed in the German and Italian F4 championships, achieving a total of 7 victories in both, until 2024. In fact, from this year it wears Aston Martin colours, joining the “driver squad” of the British team.

Head already to 2025
The current season sees him in fifth position at 53.5 points from the leader of the championship, the aforementioned Bortoleto, with a win on the Barcelona circuit and 5 podiums on his list of honours. Never say never, with the two December appointments things could change, but in the meantime it is right to secure a seat for 2025 and, why not, remaining in the Dams family.
These are the words of the American pilot after the announcement:
“I hope we will make further progress next year, to be able to compete where it counts […], I see how determined everyone is (in the team) ed that's why I chose to stay, this is a team sport and improvingnow together”
“Despite the ups and downs of the season, Jak has worked hard and it will be a pleasure to continue with him for another year” added team owner Charles Pic.
