After a very difficult free practice session, we move on with F2 to qualifying for the Imola GP. A flurry of times were seen fighting for provisional pole, but in the end Gabriel Bortoleto with a 1:27.056 fails to conquer the top of the standings.
Compromise instead the session for the two drivers According to Racing forced to start from the bottom:
1st – Gabriel Bortoleto - 1:27.056
2nd – Isaac Hadjar +0,216
3rd – Joshua Duerksen + 0,328

At the checkered flag, qualifying saw Oliver Bearman in 2nd position, +0,055 thousandths behind the leader and Kimi Antonelli in 4th position but, after having received penalties for going beyond the limits of the track, they will start from the back:
- Inline position for Bearman e 18th for Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
At the start of the qualifying session, the first driver to impose himself on everyone is Zane Maloney, a shot destined to vanish into thin air. At the end of the first flying laps he is immediately the reigning F3 champion Gabriel Bortoleto to impose himself on the grid, but the gap between the various drivers is extremely small.

About 10 minutes from the end of qualifying, all the drivers return to the pits to fit a second set of tires and, upon returning to the track, the first to win is Oliver Bearman. At PREMA also at home Andrea Kimi Antonelli does not disappoint, taking home 3rd position.
The final stages of qualifying saw the drivers exchange several fast laps, but at the end of the session he prevailed over everyone with a 1:27.056 Gabriel Bortoleto, they follow Hadjar two tenths behind e Duerksen, in 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
