After great show which we witnessed in the Sprint Race of Friday, it's time to get back on track for the 21 drivers (one less due to Bearman's absence) in the preparatory category. There Feature Races of the Saudi Arabian GP it started with a bang, but we find out that it happened between the Safety Car and a thrilling finale.
Safety Car on lap 1
With the passage of Bearman in Formula 1 for the Saudi Arabian GP, the pole position of the Feature Race was inherited by Kush Maini. The Invicta Racing driver starts very well, immediately giving a certain gap to Crawford, who started from second position. Excellent start also for the only Prema driver this weekend, Kimi Antonelli, which took fourth place at the start.
He remains in the rear fermo the reigning F3 champion, Gabriel Bortoleto, after the axle shaft broke on the reconnaissance lap. Pepe Marti, protagonist of the last one weekend in Bahrain, he is out in the first round after a head tail. The list of riders out on the first lap does not end here, Bortoleto and Martì are also added Stan. Nightmare weekend for the Trident driver that was disqualified in game 1 and is forced to withdraw from the Feature Race.
The fight between Antonelli and Crawford and Fittipaldi's sprint
When the Safety Car returns to the pit lane, Maini keeps his head of the Saudi Arabian GP Feature Race group. On lap 9 it is fight among Italian Antonelli and Crawford for the provisional third position. Prema number #4 overtakes the American at turn 1, but goes wide allowing Jak to overtake him again. AND' wheel to wheel between Maini and Enzo Fittipaldi to get first position.
The Van Amersfoort Racing driver enters turn 1, obtaining Maini's fourth position, as well as the virtual first position of the race. The Brazilian widens the gap with fast laps, but his work is nullified from the Franco Colapinto accident.
Colapinto touches the barriers in the final bend of the circuit with the right rear. The kiss with the wall costs him a puncture which sends him straight into the barriers and out of the race. So another Safety Car comes in and brings the group closer together, anything can still happen.
The results of the Feature Race of the Saudi Arabian GP
At the restart Enzo Fittipaldi was not long in coming and overtook Taylor Barnard. Problems for French Hadjar which loses power and slips to last position giving way fourth place to Antonelli. Fittipaldi continues to push and gets on Correa and Cordeel - both in difficulty with worn tyres. The Brazilian take advantage of the wake and with a risky maneuver he pulls one detached on the outside and there surpasses both in one fell swoop winning first position.
It's Virtual Safety Car when on lap 24, Zak O'Sullivan spins at Turn 2. Correa takes advantage of this to make a pit stop. He seemed to be in difficulty, but in the final laps Amaury Cordeel seems to have recovered and chases Maini for third place in the race. Piles manages, after several attempts, to overtake Kimi Antonelli and to win fifth position.
A fantastic Enzo Fittipaldi wins the Feature Race of F2 on the Jeddah circuit. Cordeel was in difficulty and lost two positions on the final lap. Extraordinary arrival for Dennis Hauger who surprises everyone by surpassing Crawford and Cordeel in the sprint, taking third place from the podium.
