The F3 season has just ended, giving us an all-Italian title with the triumph of Leonardo Fornaroli and Trident. Only a few days have passed since the Monza weekend, but the drivers have certainly not been sitting on their hands and those among the most talented who can boast an excellent season are already attacking the free seats in the higher category. The drivers' market is on the verge of heating up and after the announcement of Fornaroli, it's up to Arvid Lindblad secure a place in F2 for 2025 with the Campos Racing team.
Who is Arvid Lindblad?
Born in 2007, Arvid Lindblad is a British driver of Swedish and Indian origins, who boasts a remarkable portfolio considering his very recent debut on single-seater cars. Lindblad began racing on karts at the age of 8, winning various titles from 2018 onwards, including the WSK Euro Series , WSK Final Cup, both in 2021 in the OK class. Always in 2021 is noticed and followed by Helmut Marko is welcomes him into the Red Bull Junior Team.
His single-seater debut came only in 2022, when supported by the Red Bull family, he participated in various Formula 4 championships (Italian F4, United Arab Emirates F4, Macao Race F4). Able to achieve results in almost every competition, the British driver immediately gets a contract for the 2024 F3 season with the Prema team. In no time Arvid takes maiden F3 win in Bahrain and closed the season fourth in the championship, counting four victories, two sprints and two in the long race.
The announcement in Campos Racing
As we have noticed, Arvid Lindblad likes to rush things and today it is the announcement of his promotion to F2 alongside the Campos Racing team. These the words of the Team Principal, Adrian Campos:
“We are happy to be able to count on a driver like Arvid for 2025, he is an enormous talent […]. In the coming winter months we will work to ensure he is as ready as possible for his debut [in F2] next season”
Campos is aware of the young age of the British driver but is determined to bet on him, Is Lindblad ready for F2, and are we ready to see him on the grid next year?
