There is now just under a month to go until Back on track in Qatar of the single-seaters of the preparatory category. On the occasion of the last two rounds of season 2024 of FIA F2, the team DAMS announced that Juan Manuel Correa will be replaced from Swedish Dino Beganovich.
A new adventure for Dino
The young Ferrari Driver Academy driver has concluded his second season of F3 – now last September – placing itself in sixth position. He actively participated in the fight for the title until the final round in Monza. During 2024 he collected two victories and in addition two more podiums.
Before arriving in Formula 3, Dino, won the title of Formula Regional Championship Champion by Alpine in 2022. For Beganovic the situation has now manifested itselfopportunity to take part in the last two stages of the F2 calendar, putting themselves at the forefront driving a DAMS registered car – thus becoming Correa's replacement.
Correa replaced by Beganovic for final F2 rounds
Following the announcement of his impending promotion, Beganovich said: "I am looking forward to making my debut with DAMS Lucas Oil in F2. The team has a great history behind it and a huge drive to achieve great results”. The now ex-Prema driver continued: “This step it seems the most natural for my career: I am ready for the challenge in an extremely competitive Championship. The goal I have set myself is to learn as much as possible and try to get my first points in this category".
The owner of the DAMS team, Charles Pic, he added: "We are thrilled to welcome a talented driver like Dino for the remainder of the season. It is a major step up from F3 and it is a very competitive Championship, but we are confident who, with the help of the team, Dino can be just as competitive in these two rounds”. He then concluded by saying: “He has an excellent resume and we believe he has what it takes to fight for important points. I would like to thank Juan Manuel for his efforts this season. It was a pleasure working with him and We wish him the best for the future".
