After the Imola and Monaco rounds the Formula 2 stops for a month, but the same cannot be said of some of its drivers who will take advantage of the break to perform activities with the Academies of which they are part. Among these there is also Jack Crawford and will lead for the first time the branded single-seater Aston Martin for a session of tests in Austria.
Test for Crawford with Aston Martin: he will drive the AMR22 in Austria
Crawford he joined the young pilot development program by Aston Martin Aramco lo last February. The American driver - currently involved in the Formula 2 championship with the DAMS team - upon joining the program carried out physical training, media training and frequent sessions at simulator. Jak also had the opportunity to witness the team's work up close during some of the Grands Prix of this 2024 season.
Jak had the opportunity to take part in the Formula E rookie test with Andretti in Berlin. The next June 5th in Austria, Crawford, will drive the car used by Aston Martin is preferably used for 2022 season. The test marks a new and important step in the world of motorsport.

“A dream come true”
At the Red Bull Ring Jak, after months spent working on the simulator, will be able to first time getting behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car. The Aston Martin Aramco Young Driver Development Program driver said he was happy to have this opportunity. “It's more than a dream come true and it is an important step in my journey in the world of motorsport".
Crawford continued, “I am incredibly grateful of having had the opportunity to drive an F1 car, of learn from the team and from push me even further. I want to say thank you to Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I can't wait to hit the track on June 5th".
