La Williams will race the Australian GP with just one car, following of Alexander Albon's accident during FP1. Nothing to be done, therefore, for the mechanics of the Grove team who were unable to repair the car in order to guarantee the driver Williams to be able to continue competing over the weekend. The absence of a third frame, as told by James Vowles, will therefore not allow the Williams to be able to carry out the Australian GP with two cars.
Williams with only one car at the Australian GP: Albon will drive it
The question, however, now arises spontaneously: Who will race in the only car that will be on the track on Sunday? Naturally, it's easy to think about Sergeant, as the intact car in Williams is his. Team principal Vowles, however, said that it will be Albon to take his place. Ecosystem's staff is Thai, in fact, will run for the rest of the weekend. Therefore, it is the American who will pay the price, as he will not be able to take part in the Australian GP in his Williams FW46.
What to do at Fanta-F1?
Bad news also from an optical point of view Fantasy F1. For fantasy managers, inevitably, it will be impossible to rely on one of the two pilots. As is remembered by the regulation, in fact, for the driver who does not take part in the GP (in this case Sargeant) the -10 point penalty is automatically triggered. An insufficiency that would be really too serious for fantasy managers and above all illogical to bring into the team.
The decision, however, on who will take to the track for the entire Melbourne weekend, has already arrived and Albon will have tomorrow's FP3 (scheduled at 02.30) to be able to regain the feeling with the car, having missed FP2 this Today. All with just a few hours of time available to deploy the team at Fanta F1. And who knows if at that point buying the Thai might prove to be your ace in the hole.
