Max Verstappen is at the center of numerous rumors about his future, but the champion did not hesitate to express his discontent with these speculations. In an interview with The Guardian he made it clear that he wanted to remain faithful to Red Bull, the team with which he won three world titles.
Max Verstappen is tired of the speculation and rumors constantly circulating in the media regarding his future. Since the internal scandal that seemed to have divided Red Bull into two opposing factions, the future of the current world champion has come to be questioned, to the point of hypothesizing his possible arrival at Mercedes.
In an interview with The Guardian, the Dutch champion declared himself to be tired of all the political debates revolving around the team and its future in Formula 1:
“The more I talk about it, the more people have to write. Then you write, you build a story, people take pieces of it and it becomes a huge mess. Do you understand what I mean? I speak and then there are translations into Spanish, Dutch or any other language. Talking about it any longer won't help the situation. I would prefer there weren't all these stories, they are things that happen within the team that we have to face and overcome. I have a contract with the team to do my job, provide a high level of performance, and that's what I'm focused on. I'm not a politician and I don't like politics. I talk about my performances with the people around me, trying to distract myself from the negative things."
Verstappen to The Guardian
Stories, as Verstappen calls them, which began especially at the beginning of last season and intensified after his debut in Bahrain, the last Grand Prix in which we saw his father in the garage. Jos Verstappen returned to being a visible presence alongside his son in the latest Monaco Grand Prix. An appearance that could not go unnoticed after all the hypotheses of disagreement with the Red Bull Team Principal, Christian Horner. Even on this aspect, Max did not hesitate to clarify the situation:
“My father will always be with me, of course. He and Horner are not in conflict. People may have different opinions, but that's another story. When I moved to Red Bull, Christian was a pillar in this decision.”

A decision that continues to be strong even today. Verstappen does not leave Red Bull, the team that welcomed him and with which he won his three world titles in Formula 1, with which he has a contract valid until 2028:
“I am a loyal person and this means a lot to me. This is what I ask of the team and so far this has always been fantastic and I want it to stay that way for a long time. It would be fantastic to end your career at Red Bull, spending an entire career in one team would be incredible.”
If this loyalty lasts until the end of his career, it will be a decision that, for now, Max seems unwilling to face.
