As for three years now, he is there in front of everyone Max Verstappen of qualification in Belgium. Similar to the last three seasons, however, the Dutchman will start further back. In fact, after having mounted theICE number 5 of the season, the #1 of Red Bull will leave in P11.
Verstappen on the microphones: “Good qualifying, the car was excellent”
After the “fake pole position”, Verstappen talked about his qualifying laps. A particular weather featured all three sessions. However, according to his feelings, the weather in Belgium remained stable regular for the entire duration of the official tests: “It was a good qualifying. Luckily the weather held up, which allowed us to be able to shoot. We didn't know if the track would dry out, so we tried to keep an extra set. In the end everything went well because we managed to get through Q1 and Q2 easily. The car was good in the wet, and this allowed me to do clean laps. Tomorrow the conditions will be completely different – continued Max talking about the race – It won't rain and it will be hot. Managing the degradation will be fundamental because I will start ten positions back. Today I did the best I could. I don't know how fast we will be in the race, but I hope enough to be able to catch up".

“Always chaos in Turn 1, tough battle tomorrow”
Verstappen then went on to talk about the departure tomorrow. As he specified, Turn 1 is never easy, and we will have to be careful not to ruin the race: "There's always a bit of chaos in Turn 1, you can ruin races there. The race is long, so we will try to get a good start and then try to manage the tyres. In the last few races we haven't been making life easy for ourselves – concluded Max – The battle I'm involved in doesn't help us. Today was a great day, but let's remember that it was in the wet. Tomorrow it will be important to be fast in the dry. We will try to do the best we can to be in the fight with Ferrari and Mercedes. And who knows, if we have a bit of luck with the McLarens too".
