Ferrari, in Belgian GP brought home by Max Verstappen, he gets on the podium with Charles Leclerc. Excellent performance by the Monegasque driver, with a third position which - considering the period - It's worth its weight in gold for both the team and the driver. Immediately after the two Red Bulls, there is in fact the SF-23. A morale-boosting performance, as admitted by the team principal Ferrari Frederic Vasseur, spoke exclusively to Sky Sport F1.
Vasseur: “We have to stay calm: after this match we are not world champions”
From an analysis, it seems that Leclerc shines particularly during the Sprint weekend: what do you think?
“I'm not sure we can judge Leclerc's performance from here. The Sprint, after all, took place on two speed tracks such as Baku and Spa. Perhaps, an analysis that can emerge from these data is that we are able to better prepare the Sprint weekends".
How do you rate this weekend?
“Overall I think it's a good weekend. We showed that we were strong in all conditions: wet, dry, on the flying lap and also on the race pace. For Charles it was a good race: everything went well. For Carlos, however, it is different. We wanted to keep the car on the track in the hope of a red flag which never came. Piastri was perhaps a bit optimistic, but we always talk about a race accident."

Did you expect to have this kind of pace or was it a surprise?
“It was very difficult to have a clear picture of the race, not having done any simulations. We were a bit blind, as were the strategies. The wall reacted well: we made the right choices and this is very important for us, as is taking two weeks off."
After the break there will be Holland and then our home GP, do you expect to do well?
"They will be two very different tracks, both very complicated. It's hard to say what to expect. The gaps are always very similar: today McLaren was in difficulty, while in Hungary it seemed to be the second force on the track. This year the season goes like this. The most important thing is to try to avoid overreactions: today we are not world champions and we were not bankrupt a week ago".
