“The relationship between the two is always the same. Between Sainz and Leclerc nothing broke“. Frederic preaches a lot of calm Vassuer about the relationship between Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Inside of of the interview granted to the newspaper 'La Repubblica', the team principal of Ferrari he also spoke, among various topics, about the climate between his drivers, explaining how the two are very competitive but what do they have the good of the team is at heart. “They have always been side by side during the grands prix we have held, or at least in the majority of cases – explained Vasseur. They are both obviously very competitive. Every two races I find myself having to calm them down but for me this is a pleasure. Both have the good of the team at heart".

Vasseur has no doubts about the relationship between Sainz and Leclerc: "I don't see any problems"
For the Ferrari team principal, the relationship between Leclerc and Sainz is anything but compromised. The first Grands Prix of the season highlighted some small spats between the two (see Leclerc's radio team towards the Spaniard during the weekend in China), but despite everything, according to Vasseur, no type of problem persists between the two. “The only thing I ask – continued the team principal in the interview – is to have a frank relationship full of mutual respect. I never tell them to be best friends to go on holiday together, I don't do it with my colleagues either. But I don't see any problems. They've already started to get a little closer in recent months: it's a training period."
