After a first part of the season full of ups and downs, Ferrari has a great objective: conquer second place in the constructors' category. An undertaking, if desired, absolutely feasible, even if the separation from is to be considered Mercedes, for now 56 points. If on the one hand, in fact, Aston Martin now seems to have caught up - with only five points of difference - the silver arrow continues to hold firm, especially in the race, in which Hamilton e Russell they almost always manage to maximize the strength of the W-14.
Ferrari, the development plan for the second part of the season
After the excellent performance of Belgian GP, with Ferrari which returned to the podium with Charles Leclerc, in Maranello they have already outlined the update program in view of the next races. From what is filtering, it seems that there will be a series of at Ferrari news on the SF-23, scheduled until the US Grand Prix. The goal will be to understand how much these updates benefit the red: on the one hand to try to reach second place in the constructors' championship, on the other to draw very important data in view of next year's car.
Vasseur: “The data tells us that we will be four tenths faster in 2024”
There is no point in hiding the fact that work has already started in Maranello on the 2024 car, the first of the era Vasseur which, in the exclusive interview given to Autosprint, has already sparked strong hopes in the hearts of Ferrari fans: "We have a development plan that tells us that our car will be two tenths faster in September, another two in October, another four in 2024. We have our own work plan and we cannot waste time synchronizing with that of others, which among other things we do not know".
Waiting for the opponents
Where such numbers – with a Ferrari more than four tenths faster than the current one – were true, it is inevitable to think of a great work and step forward carried out by the Cavallino engineers. The final test, however, as always, lies with the track, also because - as admitted by Vasseur - we do not yet know how many tenths will the opponents improve who will also have that one great goal: to become world champions again.
