Valtteri Bottas they may have to look elsewhere for the path to their future. With few seats left available and very tight competition for Bottas it is time to evaluate offers who do not come from F1 but from overseas, specifically from IndyCar. According to the latest rumors, Bottas would be in the sights of 6 teams.
Valtteri Bottas, future in America in IndyCar?
The rider market is waiting for the next shot to define the 2025 line ups in which there are already several new features. We are in the hot phase of the championship, close to the summer break but there are still many names in the balance and among these there is also that of Valtteri Bottas. The Finn is not having his best season this year. Stake is the only team not to have won a single championship point. Bottas is 21st in the standings, last with zero points together with Zhou and Sargeant who have collected better placings than those of the Finn.
The disappointing results open doubts for Sauber, which will see the arrival of from 2026 Audi, on a possible stay for Valtteri Bottas. At the moment the team has only announced 1 driver for next season, Nico Hulkenberg. The project foresees the arrival of Sainz who, being disputed by several teams, has yet to decide his future destination. Although Sainz is increasingly distant, it is important for Bottas to find alternatives as soon as possible. One of these, however, includes a farewell to Formula 1.

The doors of F1 could therefore close for Bottas but at the same time those of another category, IndyCar, could open. The American series has often called upon many former Formula 1 drivers. And Bottas, according to recent rumors, could be the next at the top of the list. Team like AJ Foyt Racing, Ed Carpenter Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Meyer Shank Racing and Dale Coyne Racing have all been mentioned in relation to Bottas.
