Until the early 2000s, in F1, the French GP was held on the track of Magny-Cours, a stage always much loved by fans and riders. Until the 2008, when the country decided to no longer host the event. The situation remained unchanged when in 2018 the government's request to include the circuit in the calendar Paul ricard was accepted. From that year, they were only held 4 editions, with that of 2020 canceled due to the pandemic.
Macron has a lot in his head, but there is also room for F1
These last few weeks have been very difficult for the French president Emmanuel Macron, grappling with the many citizens' positions. Attempt after failed attempt to try to restore peace, but the French seem to have other thoughts on my mind too.

One of his concerns, in fact, is that of bring the country back to F1. This time, however, it will not be the circuit located in Le Castellet that will be the protagonist, but a new track in Nice. For this reason, Macron himself put the president of the FFSA in charge Nicholas Deschaux e Estrosi (Mayor of Nice) to mediate with Liberty Medium.
Not only Macron, even the mayor of Nice is open to the GP
The idea seems to be really important for the nation, so much so that it led to a long exchange of information between Macron and Estrosi. A letter from Nice which led to an immediate response from Paris, where we are really enthusiastic about move forward with this project: “Rest assured that I fully share your ambition. Our country must be able, as in the case of the other major international sporting events it organizes every year, to reconnect with F1, for everyone's pleasure. It is a question of attractiveness for our country, of the influence of our automotive industry and of innovation to support the decarbonisation of this sector".
The only problem could turn out to be there proximity to the circuit Monaco. Problem that could be solved by defining the calendar so that the two appointments are distant from each other.
