Much more was expected. In Budapest, in Hungarian GP, the two Classic Ferrari for sale they don't go any further seventh and eighth position with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. A very disappointing result, which Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur wanted to analyze exclusively to Sky Sport F1.
Vasseur: “We must minimize errors, we make too many of them”
How do we analyze Ferrari's weekend?
“It's obviously frustrating. In the end, however, if we look at the race I believe that without the mistakes in the pit, the traffic and the penalty it wouldn't have been a bad performance. We can't afford all these mistakes. Our pace wasn't magical but it wasn't that far from Lewis either and you can't make all these mistakes."
Can you find any positives?
“It's also part of my job. The negative lies in the mistakes made. We're struggling to put it all together. The positive is that we had a better pace, if we compare it to that of Hamilton it was in fact almost the same: last week for example it wasn't. It's a bad weekend in terms of result, not pace."
What do you think of Leclerc's mistake?
“You can't complain when he pushes too hard or when he's a bit nervous. I think he made a good analysis of the weekend, he knows that the pace wasn't bad today. I think he had the right attitude."
What needs to be improved?
“It is clear that the ranking changes enormously from one moment to the next. It's a question of minimizing errors."
Are you worried about the performance of others?
“My job is to worry about ourselves and understand where we can improve, and it's clear that we need to do that.”
