When we are not even halfway through the 2023 season, Formula 1 has already revealed the calendar for next year. There will be 24 races, never so many in history, spread over 11 months.
It will be the longest world championship ever: the cars will take to the track for free practice in Bahrain on 29 February and will finish the race in Abu Dhabi on 8 December.
Suzuka among the first stages
Among the many changes, it definitely stands out the location of the Japanese GP e than that of Azerbaijan. The first from the beginning of October moves to the beginning of April, while Baku shifts from the end of April to mid-September. All this is part of the Circus' regionalization plans, aimed at limiting consumption by grouping the races held on the same continent.
For the first time since 2019, the Chinese GP, scheduled for mid-April. A stage that should have also been held this season but which was further postponed due to problems related to the pandemic.
Grand Prix on Saturday!
Another novelty is that some stages will be held on Thursday, Friday and with the race on Saturday. In fact, out of respect for Ramadan, the first two races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will be held on Saturday instead of Sunday.

The summer break will, as always, be in August, between the Grand Prix Belgium, remained on the calendar and the Netherlands. It is curious, then, to note how there is a sort of second "summer break" of about a month between the Singapore GP (September 22) and the Austin GP (October 20). The season will end with a "triple header" made up of Las Vegas - which will debut this season, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
