There is no rest for the highest category of motorsport. Also this week we are running and moving around Silverstonein Britain.
Monza and Silverstone: the history of F1
Il Silverstone circuit it is a permanent path where, the May 13, 1950, he ran the first ever Formula 1 race. It winds through 5891 meters and is composed of 18 curves. Opened in 1947, in the early years it was a track fast: the circuit was in fact made up of three runways of military airports connected to each other by sharp and rapid curves. As with any track, Silverstone also suffered many changes over the decades. The last one was that of move the finish line, originally located between the curves Woodcote e Copse. Therefore, to date, the checkered flag waves on the stretch between the named rounds - ed Abbey, where a new paddock and new pit lanes were built. Present 2 DRS zones, one of the 5 , 6 and the second between 14 , 15 (i.e. between Chapel e Stowe).

He holds the absolute lap record Lewis Hamilton su Mercedes in 1'24 "303 in the qualifications of 2020. The record in the race was set, again in the same edition, Max Verstappen su Red Bull in 1'27 "097.
Uncertain weather and a lot of wear
The fundamental aspect that the teams will have to keep an eye on will certainly be the weather. This circuit, in fact, is located between two villages, namely Buckinghamshire e Northamptonshire. In previous years, for this very reason, we have attended races where it rained only in one half of the route. It will therefore be essential for the teams to understand when it will be the moment to pass from slick to intermediate.

Furthermore, in previous years, there have been many controversies about the correct setup to use. A setup from medium low load would lead to a car very fast on straight stretches, but very difficult to drive in fast corners. Furthermore, the latter involves a greater degradation, as it is a set-up that brings the car to slip a lot. It may therefore be a better option to opt for a configuration from medium-high load. It's true, you would lose something in the fast sections (mainly in the first sector), but you would have a single-seater more precise in curves like Copse, Maggots e The Becketts. Furthermore, with a more focused car, the tires would be subjected to less stress and could last longer, but the race should take place on two stops.
There is one king at Silverstone, but the lion is hungry for victories
Since the beginning of the season, a possible winner seems to be indicated very easy. Few guarantees now, and one of these is called SuperMax. The binomial RB19-Max it works at perfection, and until the machine betrays him, the Dutch lion he doesn't seem to want to make mistakes. It will be an excellent testing ground for Ferrari to actually understand if you have returned to being there second force on the field. However, let's remember who holds the winning record on this track, that is Sir Lewis Hamilton. After the disaster in Austria, the Briton is called to a superlative race on a track where he is the king.
