After 5 seasons at Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas went from the silver arrows to'Alfa Romeo. The two-year contract offered to him also included a clause for an extension for another year. The current Sauber has decided to activate it and support the Finnish Zhou Guanyu once again. At the end of the fourth Grand Prix of the season Valtteri Bottas returned to talking about his own future, explaining that he had already made initial contacts with Audi to ensure his continued existence in Formula 1.
Bottas talks about the future: “I have started contacts with Audi”
The #77's contract expires at the end of this year, but Valtteri seems to have no desire to give up. As stated by himself, he seems to have started contacts with another team. It would be about Audi, which will acquire Sauber, the team for which Valtteri Bottas currently races. “I'm slowly starting to talk to Audi about my future – explains Bottas – but it's only one preliminary phase. I hope that, with some important results in the next races, I can get noticed even more."

Bottas therefore still has 20 races to prove what leaving him without a seat would be a serious mistake.
