Spanish Carlos Sainz withdraws from Saudi Arabian Grand Prix of the 2024. Carlos Sainz was diagnosed appendicitis and will need surgery. Starting from FP3 and for the rest of the weekend, he will be replaced by the reserve driver Oliver Bearman who, therefore, will no longer take part in this round of the F2 Championship.

After starting the new F1 season in an excellent way with a third place in Bahrain, the stage in Jeddah arrives which slightly upsets the plans of Ferrari and Carlos Sainz.
On Wednesday Sainz had already given signs of "doubt” on his possible participation in the Saudi Arabian GP. The Spanish rider had missed the media day because he wasn't feeling well. The alarm seemed to have receded and we competed in FP1 and FP2 on the track with quite a few difficulties.

Difficult free practice for Carlos Sainz in Jeddah
“It has been a very difficult day for me because I have not fully recovered from the illness that has kept me in bed for the last 24 hours and I still feel very weak. However, I stuck to the track and managed to maximize my time with the car and the team.
Even though I couldn't push to the limit today, at least we completed the program and I hope that tomorrow I will be fully recovered and we can focus on qualifying and the race.”
The last words had shown an apparent optimism, but the reality is different: Carlos Sainz will not participate al Saudi Arabian Grand Prix of the 2024.
What happens to Fanta F1?
According to the regulation, it will happen automatically the replacement (obviously only for this weekend) of Carlos Sainz with Bearman. Instead of the Spanish player, therefore, fantasy managers will be able to choose to rely on the British player who will be available on the market with the same price as Sainz (that is to say 28 credits).
