It wasn't a bad one qualification for Carlos Sainz. The Ferrari driver manages to place in top five, finishing fifth in the standings and also gaining a place on the grid on Sunday following Verstappen's penalty.
Ferrari, now we need pace
That Ferrari if he went well in qualifying it is not, from a certain point of view, a huge novelty. Already during the season the Red had shown on some tracks that it could aspire to pole, which today with Verstappen is impossible to reach. The real problem is the race, in particular the step which was never worthy of the performance that the car put at his disposal on Saturday. Tomorrow will already be an important day, with the Sprint scheduled for the afternoon, to understand how much Sainz e Leclerc can really aspire to a good result this weekend.

Sainz: “Happy with my qualification. In Q3 I had a bad scare in turn 8-9"
Considering the expectations on the eve of the race, the Spa-Francorchamps track was not supposed to be one of Ferrari's best tracks. At least for now, even if it's only Friday, the music seems to be different. The same guy talks about all this in the usual post-qualifying session Sainz spoke to the F1 microphones: “It was a qualifying with very treacherous conditions. The track was always different and, despite this, I did good laps in Q1 and Q2. However, things were different in Q3, where I had a bad scare in turn 8-9. Overall, however, I am very happy to have reached Q3 in such conditions".
