Not an easy day at all for Ferrari Carlos Sainz: the Spaniard, in fact, reported a gearbox problem 20 minutes into the race FP2 of the Dutch GP and was forced to get up white flag on his SF-24. An uphill start to the weekend for Sainz who, considering tomorrow, will only have the third free practice session on Saturday morning to try to find the right balance in a weekend in which Ferrari has chosen not to bring any type of update. Barring surprises (which could correspond to a hypothetical crazy race also characterized by the weather, as in today's FP1), the Red team prepares to play 'defense', unlike his opponents, waiting for the updates scheduled for next week in Monza.

Sainz, his words following FP2 at the Dutch GP
At the end of his complicated Friday, especially after FP2, Sainz This is how he spoke about his feelings ahead of the Dutch GP. “Today was a complicated day. This morning, due to bad weather, we were able to do a few laps in really difficult conditions. Then during the second session we had a gearbox problem in the first run, and so today I only completed a handful of laps." And on the work to be done tomorrow in view of qualifying and Sunday's race: “Tomorrow we will try to make the most of the last free sessions, so as to collect as much information as possible and do as many laps as possible to find the right confidence and reduce the gap to the top."
