“When I'm driving and on the track it's not a thought that I honestly have. Obviously I don't deny that if I get and bring home some excellent results I hope to demonstrate to everyone and to myself that I am a winning driver. I'm sure that only in this way can I demonstrate that with the winning car in my hands I absolutely cannot be underestimated." Carlos Sainz has no doubts about his excellent start to the season Ferrari. In fact, in the three races of the season held, the Spanish driver achieved two podiums (the last one in Japan) and won the Australian Grand Prix. Results that allow the Madrilenian to put himself in the spotlight, especially given the need to Sainz to find a starting seat for 2025.
Sainz analyzes his start to the season at Ferrari
As you well know, Carlos Sainz will no longer be a Ferrari driver from 2025. In his place there will be Hamilton, who is certainly not having a pleasant season. There has been discussion several times about the possibility that Sainz raised the level of his performances almost as a 'retaliation' towards Ferrari who had already confirmed the change of driver pairing for next year before the start of the 2024 season. Sainz, however, in this respect, is keen to underline that all he has ever needed is a strong car with which he can really aim high. "I am not looking for to demonstrate it in particular to Ferrari or to some other team. I go to the track to win – explains the Spaniard number #55 on the grid – and also to demonstrate that when I have a competitive car for podiums and victories, I can achieve that podium and those victories. But until 2022 I've never had a car capable of winning races or regularly get on the podium.”
