A difficult Thursday, especially for health reasons, but even more special considering the conditions in which Carlos Sainz concluded the FP2 of the Jeddah GP. The Spanish driver, in fact, who suffered intestinal problems and fever yesterday and also during this morning, took to the track on his SF-24 in both the first and second free practice sessions, concluding FP2 in seventh place in the standings.
GP Saudi Arabia, Sainz's comment after FP2 in Jeddah
Sainz undoubtedly seeks continuity. After what he did well in Bahrain, a race in which he took third place in the standings, the Madrid native talked about his feelings (not the best) with which he had to take to the track today. “I had a difficult day. My last 24 hours – said Sainz – they weren't easy. I'm happy that I managed to do what I wanted. Driving was very difficult due to the stomach problem I had which we know is not ideal. I hope to be well tomorrow and especially on Saturday for the race".

“I hope to feel better tomorrow”
Above all, it was great suffering for the Spaniard, in addition to the flying lap the race pace. A truly complex phase to manage given his condition, but essential to lay the foundation for the race, scheduled for tomorrow at 18pm."I suffered the long run. I had a lot of trouble trying the step race but at least I immediately got a feel for the car. We have a good base to work from”. The sensations, therefore, are at least good. Now we need to be able to get back into condition: “I hope to be better tomorrow to get back on track".
Sainz is hunting for a second consecutive podium in the hope of being able to continue to give satisfaction to his fantasy managers in view of the weekend in Saudi Arabia.
