Carlos' hot words
In the classic post-qualifying interview, the #55 of the Red spoke about his lap and how, on the return lap, seeing all those fans, he was unable to hold back the chills: “It was honestly an intense qualifying, especially in Q3. All three of us attacked as hard as we could and we were at the limit, on the last lap I knew I had a bit of a margin at the Ascari and the Parabolica, so I attacked and it went well, I pushed really hard on the last lap. As soon as I crossed the finish line on the return lap, looking at the crowd, I couldn't stop having goosebumps, and it's fantastic. Already in the hotel, on the track and wherever we go there is always support and encouragement, and it is the best feeling you can feel as a driver."
Continuing in his interview, David Valsecchi he asked what the objective was for tomorrow's match, and Sainz did not hold back from saying that he is aiming for step higher than the podium: “Tomorrow the goal is the podium, and I will give everything to maintain this position. Let's try to get a good start and have a good first stint to fight with Max, who is usually very fast."
