Although on the track, during this season, there is total domination by the Red Bull, especially Max Verstappen, there was no shortage of surprises. One of these is, indirectly, always linked to Red Bull. In fact, let's talk about Alpha Tauri which he chose, before the Hungarian Grand Prix, di dismiss Nyck De Vries and to replace him with Daniel Ricciardo. A move, the one taken by Helmut Marko, which caused discussion, even if Red Bull is convinced of the decision made.
Ricciardo-Perez, both under observation
The arrival of Ricciardo – who before debuting in AlphaTauri was the third Red Bull driver – is strongly linked to the future of Sergio Perez. It's no secret that, if the Mexican doesn't perform, Ricciardo would be very ready to take over. Naturally, just as Perez is under observation, the same goes for Ricciardo who must demonstrate that he still has what it takes to be Verstappen's new teammate.

Horner admits: “We know that Ricciardo wants us, but only from 2025”
Although Perez is not convincing, it seems that his contract - which expires in 2024 - is not in question. This was stated by the team principal of Red Bull Christian Horner who, speaking on the Ricciardo-Perez issue, was very clear: Ricciardo in Red Bull? Possible, but only from 2025: "The reason why Daniel was taken – admitted the Red Bull team principal – she is not tied to a long-term plan to always see him in AlphaTauri. She saw this opportunity as the fastest to return to competitiveness, with the aim of having a seat in Red Bull starting from 2025."

“Daniel has the opportunity between now and the end of the year to show that he hasn't lost his form. A decision will then be made and we will see if he will stay in AlphaTauri for another year. The AlphaTauri drivers have been placed to be able to develop and grow as potential Red Bull drivers and Daniel is aware of that, but I can guarantee you that, should he return, it won't be until 2025".
