It wasn't an easy Friday for Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque, in fact, after having carried out the first free practice session - which ended in fifth place in the standings - he did not take to the track again during the day. Not good news for #16 of the Red Army who was unable to carry out the second session with the upgrades that were ready to be mounted on her SF-23.
Electrical problem for Leclerc's SF-23
During the FP1, Ferrari had chosen to mount la new beam wing only on Sainz's car. The intention was to make a comparison with that of Leclerc. The update was confirmed as soon as the session ended and was also ready to be mounted on Leclerc's SF-23. To stop the engineers it was an electrical problem, which did not allow the 25-year-old to carry out a session that would have been fundamental to gain confidence with the new beam wing, without forgetting the evaluation dedicated to race pace, not tested during FP1.

Uphill weekend
Uphill weekend therefore for Leclerc who, due to this problem, will be forced to change his work plan in the third free practice session, scheduled for tomorrow at 12.30, in view of the afternoon qualifying, in the hope that the weather - considering that it is expected pioggia – can change.
